At a young age, Voyager has established himself as a top German Riding Pony stallion with an unprecedented show record.  He was named champion of both the dressage and eventing classes for six year old dressage ponies at the 2006 Bundeschampionate. This is the first time a pony has ever won a Bundeschampion title in two events!  Voyager was also the 2005 Bundeschampion in Eventing. This pony is a dynamo with boundless talent, endurance, and character.

His sire, Vivaldi, is a well-respected Westfalen pony stallion by Valiant Starlight out of Nica by Nathan.  As  pictured below, Vivaldi shows the beauty and talent in dressage and jumping that Voyager inherited.

Vivaldi has 12 approved sons including Voyager, with other great stallions such as Van Gogh R, Validio H, Veneziano W, Veraldi, Vespucci, VIP, Vidalgo, and Vincente.  Van Gogh was the 2001 Bundeschampion for six year old jumping ponies while Veraldi was the 2005 Vise-Bundeschampion for driving ponies.  Vivaldi has also sired eight States Premium mares and was approved by the Westfalen, Weser-Ems, and Hanover pony registriesIn 1994 he was vice-champion of the NRW- Stallion Championships. During 1995 he was the HLP-Champion in Munster-Handorf and in 1996 he placed 8th in the Bundeschampionate for 5 year old dressage ponies.  He then proceeded to compete at L-level dressage and in 1997 was a finalist in the LVM-Young Championship at the Rolinck-Cup in Munster.

Vivaldi’s sire, Valiant Starlight, is by the foundation sire Valentino (by Bwlch Valentino).  Valentino was a 1972 British Riding Pony stallion that had many approved stallion sons and continues to make a lasting impression on GRP breeding. He is also sire of the champion mare Golden Charm who herself produced stallions Golden Dancer, Arts-Dancer Boy and Dancer Gold B when bred to the stallion Dancer. Golden Charm also produced SPS Derbina B (by Derbino) who in turn produced Diddy Keeps Cool by Derano Gold. Valentino is also the dam sire to the stallions Black Dancer, Domingo and Flying Dream. Vivaldi’s dam, Nica, produced the approved stallions Dressboy (by Dressman) and Champus (by Chantre B).

Voyager’s dam, Nirvana, is by Night-Power (by Night-Star I) out of Verbands Premium mare Moni (Merafic ox).  Voyager was her first foal.  Her sire Night-Power is by the stallion Night-Star I who was the Champion of the Grading in 1983. In 1987, he won the silver medal at the German Bundeschampionate in Vechta and was sold to Brazil in 1988. Night-Star I also sired Night-Fire who sired the fabulous jumping pony Night-Cup.  Night-Star I is one of best sons of the purebred Russian Arabian sire Nalet who was one of the foundation stallions of German Riding Pony breeding.  Nalet ox sired stallions such as Night-Star I, II and III, Nante I, II, Nero, Negus, Napoleon, etc.  He was also the dam sire to the Westfalen champion of six year old dressage ponies in 2004, Dornbusch (by Dornik B) and Vise-Bundeschampion in 1992 Picola (by Principal Boy).

Voyager’s career has been concentrated on sport, but in 2007 saw his first foal born. Like father, like son.  Vivaldi stamped this wonderful foal and is showing great talent as a sire.   Voyager's breeding career shouldl be an encore to his amazing performance record thus far.
